In Tanna, part of the 80-island archipelago in the South Pacific, the Yaohnanen tribe has long believed that the duke was born in their homeland and is the “true messiah”. They also believe that he influenced world events and was responsible for bringing Barack Obama to the presidency. Now they believe that he will return to them in spiritual form.
The time traveler told when the end of the world will come
A time traveler on TikTok named the date of the end of the world. An account called @thatonetimetraveler told followers: “The end of the earth will come on July 6, 2788 due to a giant meteoroid. [sic]. However, by that time we had managed to successfully civilize on Mars, the Moon and many other planets.” Not everyone was convinced by this revelation. “No one knows the day, hour and year,” one user replied. “God only knows that.
Farting penalty reduced on appeal
An Austrian who was fined 500 euros (£425) for farting loudly near police officers was reduced to 100 euros (£85) on appeal. The man was punished after he “offended public decorum” last summer by “provocatively farting” at the police. At the appeal hearing, he told the court that gassing was a “biological process” and even if he did it on purpose, his farts were covered by freedom of speech.
