TikToker predicts Rihanna’s first song on Super Bowl setlist
TikToker went viral for predicting Rihanna’s first Super Bowl song. The video posted by @gaming.society has over 1.4 million views so far, and in it TikToker explains its three rules for determining what Rihanna’s Super Bowl opening song will be.
He begins by saying that he correctly guessed the show’s opening song during the Super Bowl halftime show seven out of eight times. The man adds that there are “three golden rules” for correct prediction.
There are three golden rules
Rule number one: an artist never starts with their new material. For example, when Maroon 5 played a Super Bowl halftime show, they opened their set list with the group’s first song.
However, there is one exception to rule number one. Justin Timberlake kicked off his set list with Filthy, one of his newest hits during the halftime show.
Rule number two is that the opening song “should always be fireworks, not a ballad”. He gives an example when Katy Perry went out on a “mechanical lion”. For the 2015 Super Bowl, her opening song was Roar.
The third and final rule, “by far the most important”, is that the opening song for the Super Bowl halftime show “should be immediately recognizable from bar one”.
The TikTok video says, “As soon as the first note is played, your mom should look at you and say, ‘I know this song.'” In 2022 Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg recorded The Next Episode, one of their most popular songs.
So what does he predict Rihanna’s Super Bowl opening song will be?
At the end of the video, it says that with these three rules, the first song on Rihanna’s Super Bowl setlist will be Please Don’t Stop The Music.

It remains to be seen whether their predictions are correct. However, Please Don’t Stop The Music would certainly be as good an opening song as any.
