Tesco employees stunned by revelation of secret perk
A former Tesco employee spoke about the benefits of his old job at TikTok, which stunned current employees and customers.
Nick Burois shocked workers by revealing an insider tip that saves money and time: the supermarket’s “shop for colleagues” system.
According to him, at the end of the working day, employees are allowed to hand over things for free.
These are usually fruits, vegetables and fresh meats that may soon be out of date, as well as ready-made meals.
The video went viral on social media with over 230,000 views on TikTok.
“Basically, the store for colleagues opens after 9 pm, around this time all goods are free for colleagues working on a shift,” Neve explained.
“So it’s a great, great perk, and you end up taking home some free food, which is pretty decent.”
Many people responded to his post, including current Tesco employees who said they had never heard of such a thing.
“Oh, I work morning shifts, so I don’t know,” commented one of the employees.
Another dispelled all misconceptions by posting that they work for Tesco, stating that “not all items are scaled down items that say CS.”
One TikTok user also commented that “it’s just cut down food” while another said it’s just “reduced items that weren’t picked up.”
Either way, we’re here for a good deal.
