Taylor Swift Fans Get Married During Eras Tour Concert – Billboard
Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour kicked off with a pair of dates in Glendale, Arizona over the weekend that saw the pop star perform hits and fan favorites from her nearly twenty-year career. The concert on Saturday (March 18) was special for one of the couples in attendance, who got married during Swift’s performance.
In a fan-filmed wedding video, René Hurtado and Max Bochmann used a break from the pop star’s performance to get married, wearing a white dress, veil and tuxedo respectively to exchange vows. While it’s unclear if any “paper rings” were exchanged during the romantic moment, the newlyweds shared a kiss, prompting surrounding haircuts to cheer them on.
In accordance with TMZ, the couple considered eloping on the day of Swift’s concert and using the concert itself as a wedding reception. In the end, during the show, the lovers decided to get married. Taking to Instagram after the show, Hurtado talked about such great locations and, in fact, what Swift would play at her wedding (sort of). “Do you realize how close I was to her? I died,” she wrote in her Instagram story.
Elsewhere during the show, fans received a whopping 44 songs from Swift’s setlist, dazzling outfits and too many memorable moments to count.
The marriage came after a fan proposed during a Harry Styles concert in Singapore on Friday, and another couple visited Adele’s Las Vegas residence in their post-wedding gown and tuxedo (the “Easy on Me” singer signed the bride’s dress).
