‘Fastest job rejection’: Woman applies for job only to be rejected 20 minutes later

A woman took to social media to talk about the difficulty of finding a job as a young woman after she was turned down for a job she applied for just 20 minutes ago.

Heather Katherine opened up about her experience on TikTok in a video with the caption, “Can someone give the 22-year-old girl a chance, please.”

TikToker has shared several screenshots, the first of which was an email she sent asking for a job at an arts talent agency.

“Fastest job rejection I’ve ever experienced,” Katherine captioned the first screenshot.

Katherine then shared an email she received from the company just 20 minutes later stating that her application had been rejected.

“We appreciate your interest in Creative Arts Agency (CAA) and the time you have taken to apply for Assistant – Music Touring,” the email reads.

“While we were impressed with your experience, we have decided not to promote you for the time being.”

The video, which has been viewed over 300,000 times, received hundreds of comments, many of whom shared similar experiences.

“My record is 90 seconds. I was fucking fine,” wrote one person.

“I get it every day. One was almost immediately. Several times a day,” said another.

“I was denied a government job within three minutes of applying,” a TikTok user commented.

Some wrote that they also applied for a job at the same company and received the same rejection.

“If this happened to CAA as well, don’t worry friend,” wrote one person.

“I applied for the position of Influencer Manager at 3:30 pm and got rejected at 4:20 pm,” commented another.

“I’m like hell… you could let me explain the credentials first.”

One commenter suggested that the most likely reason for the quick rejection was that the company was using an automated system.

“If you fail to answer the verification questions or requirements, the system may automatically disqualify you,” they said.
