An iPhone hack that uses lip gloss to make it much easier to unlock the device has caused a stir online.
The hack footage uploaded to TikTok by hardreset.info was called “the best iPhone trick” by the creator.

In the video, you can see how the iPhone user enters his passcode into the device to unlock it normally.
However, in this case, for each digit of the passcode pressed, the user applies a dot of lip gloss to mark the location of the number on the phone screen.
The user then goes to “Settings” then “Accessibility” and finally clicks on “Voice Control”.
The user then selects “Customize Teams” and “Create a New Team”.
In the “Phrase” field in the “New Command” section, the user writes “Please unlock my phone”, but the phrase can be anything you want.
The user then presses “Perform Custom Gesture” and continues to use the lip gloss dots on the phone’s screen to recreate the sequence of taps generated by the password.
The user in this case did it simply – with the code 25 25 25 – and the lip gloss dots did the job perfectly.
Once the new rule was set up, the user could be heard saying “please unlock my phone” to the respective iPhone – and the phone did it all by itself.
“Siri unlocks your iPhone for you!” says the caption to the video.
iPhone hacks cause a stir
The hack has been viewed 86 million times on TikTok and has been called “the best” by many.
However, others seem confused by the role of lip gloss in legal proceedings.
“I’m confused, lipstick was needed?” one fan asked.
“Why is no one talking about lipstick?” another asked.
Others were concerned about the security implications of such a hack.
“Until someone finds the lost iPhone and tries to hack,” one person commented.
“For those commenting on security…just so you know, the phrase can be anything…like ‘abracadabra?’ another replied.

This is not the first iPhone hack that is spreading on TikTok.
Another user showed people how family and friends can track their loved one’s flight in real time by simply sending them a text message.
Travel content creator Jade, or live_thedash, said that if you just send the airline name and flight number via iMessage before boarding, the secret feature will automatically appear.
Once submitted, the flight number is underlined, and when selected, the option to “copy code” or “flight preview” appears.

If your friend or family member selects “flight preview”, they can track the progress of your journey with flight information such as departure time, estimated arrival time, flight duration, as well as a flight map.
“This is the best iPhone hack you never knew about,” she says in the video, which has been viewed more than 7.3 million times.
“All you need is your airline and your flight number and send it to iMessage… Anyone you send it to will be able to track your flight in real time. So wherever you go, try next time.”
7NEWS.com.au tried the hack and found it worked for “Jetstar”, “Qantas” and “Virgin Australia” when followed by the flight number.
